About the Lord Jesus Christ...

The Lord Jesus Christ was born of a virgin about two thousand years ago.  The Bible describes Him as “The Word” when it says,  In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God”.  (John 1:1)  The Bible further tells us that,  “All things came into being through Him, and apart from Him nothing came into being that has come into being”.  (John 1:3)

In this very same chapter of the book of John, it tells us that God in the person of the Son became a living breathing man,  “And the Word became flesh, and dwelt among us, and we saw His glory, glory as of the only begotten from the Father, full of grace and truth”.  (John 1:14)  This baby Jesus grew up and in manhood displayed the moral features of God.  The Bible states,  He was revealed in the flesh.”   (1 Timothy 3:16)  Jesus became a man much like any other man, but Holy, without sin; because He was also God.

We read of God’s plan of salvation for man through Jesus in John 3:16-18 where it says“For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish, but have eternal life.  For God did not send the Son into the world to judge the world, but that the world might be saved through Him. He who believes in Him is not judged; he who does not believe has been judged already, because he has not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.

God’s plan of salvation was accomplished when Jesus His son died on the cross, and was raised from among the dead.  We can read in 1 Corinthians 15:3-6 “...Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures, and that He was buried, and that He was raised on the third day according to the Scriptures, and that He appeared to Cephas, then to the twelve.  After that He appeared to more than five hundred brethren at one time, most of whom remain until now...”

There are many infallible proofs and witnesses that substantiate the fact that  Jesus came into the world to save sinners.  Jesus Christ is the one that is able to save to the uttermost; all that come to Him and believe by faith what the Scriptures say of Him, as to who He is, and what He has done.

“Believe in the Lord Jesus, and you will be saved.”  (Acts 16:31)
